Franklin Flannels™ are vintage, hand-treated, and inspired by our favorite worn shirts – the ones we kept until they fell off our backs. Each shirt takes time and effort and is reverse-dyed and softened by our very small team of artists. Nothing is ever mass produced. They are 100% pure cotton flannel, and because they are upcycled from vintage shirts, they will range in age and might come with minor wear and tear. It’s all part of their unique charm. We inspect and repair any major flaws, however, if you are wanting a brand new flannel, ours will not be a good fit for you. Colors vary just like in nature. All processing is done in Franklin, Tennessee.
Q: Where are your products made?
A: Perhaps the most frequently asked question we receive is, "where are your products made?" And we're glad you asked. Because our shirts are vintage we cannot control where they originated, but our vintage supplier is located in the United States. All reverse dying is done right here in Franklin, Tennessee. Our dog bandanas and protective face masks are hand sewn in Franklin, as well, and our reverse dyed bandanas are all made in the USA. When you support Franklin Flannels, you are supporting a USA company.
Q: How are the shirts sized?
A: Flannels, unless specified, are unisex and sizes may vary depending upon the style of the shirt. Unless you prefer a tighter fit, we recommend that men order their actual size and ladies order one size smaller. Franklin Flannels are meant to be worn loose and a bit oversized.
Available Sizes – Small, Medium, Large, X-Large and when available XX-Large.
Q: Specific Sizes
A: We receive thousands of shirts and all from different manufacturers. Sizing varies greatly. Some are wider than others throughout the body of the shirt. Please read the description of each shirt carefully.
We size our shirts based upon shoulder width.
Small – 17 ½ - 18 inches shoulder to shoulder
Medium – 19 inches shoulder to shoulder
Large – 20 inches shoulder to shoulder
XL – 21 inches shoulder to shoulder
Naturally the larger the shirt – the more room in the body
Please note that these are estimates and not a perfect science.
Q: What colors are available?
A: Colors vary depending upon the fabric, however, we offer a wide range of color selections in the following hues.
Q: How do you ship individual orders?
A: All items are packed and shipped with care from our studio in Franklin, TN. Each shirt is carefully inspected before shipping.
All orders will ship via UPS or USPS. We ship quickly, about 1-2 days upon receiving your individual order order. If an item is out of stock, we will email you and give you an expected date.

Q: What’s your return policy?
A: Franklin Flannels creates small batch goods that are not mass produced. Each piece takes time and effort to produce. Our products are made from vintage materials and all repairs and sewing are done by hand. One of the things we love is that each piece is unique and you won’t see anyone else in your shirt; but we also understand that these details may not be important to everyone. We are a small business and unable to accept returns.
However, we will gladly offer you an exchange or issue a credit. If you need to exchange, you are responsible for shipping the items back to us. Please get in touch if you would like to swap out for a different size, different style, or different item altogether. Once we receive your goods and they are in the same condition as we sent them, we will exchange or confirm your store credit.

Q: I want to sell Franklin Flannels in my shop.
A: We are currently not accepting many new wholesale accounts, however, if you are interested in learning more please contact us at the information below.
Q: What if something is wrong with my order?
A: Customer Care is our number one priority. Should you find any item to have major defects (remember, they’re vintage), the item must be returned to us in the same condition it was sent and within two weeks after receipt of goods. Upon receipt of the goods and a full inspection of the goods, a refund will be issued with the exception of shipping charges.
It is the buyers responsibility to check the product upon arrival for defects. All tags must be in tact. If, however, anything is damaged from shipping please take a photo and email the picture to us so we can file an appropriate claim.
